My DIY Summer Dress Remix...

I first made this dress (above) back in 2010. I self drafted it making a halter tie top and full circle skirt that I modified into a handkerchief high-low hem. The dress draped beautifully and I loved it, the halter tie was just not a great fit because it always felt like it was choking me which is the reason why I wanted to remake it.

The dress on the right is my "after" updated for 2018 version. I eliminated the halter, and added the flounce with fabric that I had leftover, underneath the flounce is a bandeau bodice that I elasticized in back and I reused the halter ties to make the spaghetti straps. I also added pockets because honestly, I don't know why I didn't add pockets the first time. This version of the dress is fun and easy to wear. There's no choking from the halter tie, and I just pull it on over my head and go. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out! I'll definitely wear it more. Just now seeing your lovely comment. Thank you sir 😊

That is a nice dress. It's cool you were able to update the style years later.
