White Boots in Fall/Winter Because “Fashion Rules” Are Stupid.

I’ve never liked style rules. They’ve always been restrictive by nature and why won't folks just let you be great? And now we have all these tragic articles popping up lately on dressing “age appropriately.”

Excuse me? Come again?

Look, wear what you want, when you want, how you want and I don’t want to spend another second on this nonsense, so let’s talk about my white boots! They’re from PAYLESS!

They’re from the Christian Siriano for Payless collection and I couldn’t believe my good fortune when I found them! I thought to myself, now I can low-key dress like Elaine Welteroth! I had long been an admirer of former TEEN Vogue editor Elaine Welteroth (below) and her bold “it“ girl style, she’s also someone who is unafraid to wear bright white boots with almost everything. Her style seems effortless. Scroll down to see more on MY boots below:

Now full disclosure, white boots would have been outside my zone of style comfort before seeing so much awesome style inspo online, real talk, but after getting them, I quickly realized that you could easily pair white boots with the same outfits that you would wear a pair of crisp white sneakers with. Look, overthinking our style choices is probably how we got all those ridiculous style rules in the first place, always remember that, and then just wear what you want.
