As I stated, the New Orleans Wine & Food Festival (NOWFE) was a little earlier this year happening in early spring (April 4-7) instead of the unofficial start of summer (just around Memorial Day) but the crowds of foodies and oenophiles showed up just the same. Now in case you're not familiar with what the New Orleans Wine & Food Experience is, the NOWFE welcome team describes it like this...
The New Orleans Wine & Food Experience is one of the premier events in the Big Easy, showcasing what the city does best. In its 27th year (our 6th year attending!) our New Orleans festival has become one of the most incredible culinary events in the nation, attracting over 7,000 gourmands and connoisseurs as well as art and music lovers. We're also excited to share the bounty with all the locals who enjoy excellent food, exceptional wine, and a great time!
This year we attended the Cochon de Lait over at Central BBQ, the always fun Royal Street Stroll which goes on rain or shine as it certainly did this year, and the Friday night Grand Tasting which was moved to a new event space venue at the Sugar Mill. Scroll down for a few photo and video scenes from these 3 culinary events.
