I know Nike owns Converse but it just seems weird to me.
So it appears that the Nike SNKRS app is up to something.
Look at this:
I’ll admit, I’m definitely not copping either sneaker but why would Nike sell Converse on the Nike SNKRS app? Obvious answer is it will help move these otherwise shelf sitters but I do think Nike is up to something.
Why do you think Nike is doing this? Would you like to see more of this? Let's talk about it in the comments.
I feel like they are trying to get the shoe in front on the hype crowd too, if not they will sit.
It's not that strange to me. Seeing that it's a Pigalle collab, I figure Nike is just trying to put the product in front of the usual hype crowd/consumer that frequents SNKRS.
I guess they look at it like well they like Off White, Fear of God, Just Don, Heron Preston, ALYX, Travis Scott, sacai, etc. so maybe they will like these "related products"
That's my thoughts.
Yeah but G that’s the point. All the brands/collabs you mentioned have Nike collabs. Converse had collabs with Fear of God, Pleasures, Wacko Maria, Carhartt, Chinatown Market, Kith, Undercover, AMBUSH, Neighborhood (I’m sure I am missing some) but none of those collabs were on Nike SNKRS. What makes this particular Converse or collab so special? And why do it now?
Maybe this is something they will be doing from now on. Maybe they feel this particular collab needs more visibility.
