Are you one of the many people making LOTS of money from reselling sneakers? Don't be shy. Let's talk about it.

I'm selling my collection to a guy who resells them in China. I'm sure he makes a good profit, but I don't care because he pays me close to flightclub prices. I'm selling my collection because I always knew eventually I would have to sell them... realistically there's no way I could wear over 100 plus shoes. I had/have early SB's that were deadstock that I bought retail, that have gone up in value beyond anything I can comprehend... I can't picture myself breaking in a pair of $1000 plus sneakers just to showoff. And while I do miss the sneakers, the profit I make feels better served in my investments. If it wasn't for my reseller, I wouldn't be selling my sneakers because selling is a hassle; dealing with flakers, lowballers and dumbasses . So I can't say I admire actual resellers that are making a living off these shoes.

So you didn’t keep any pairs?

Yes I've kept at least half my collection.

Damn. So are you out the game after this as far as buying more sneakers? And you're right, some sneakers turned into great investments over the years. To me it's always been crazy how much some people are willing to pay for sneakers. The most I've ever sold a sneaker for was $4500. Sold them to a doctor that trust me so much he sent the money cash in the mail.

I've sold pairs I wish I hadn't and I've worn pairs that I wish I hadn't. I'm sitting on a pair of shoes that I could've BEEN sold for $5k+ had I not worn them and sold years ago.

I was telling @DAMRUFF that my boy at Nike said there are resellers who use advanced bots that make $30-$80k a month with certain ultra hyped sneakers release. Ex: Off White this or Travis Scott that. It's crazy man!
