Is The Sneaker Culture In Good Hands?

Wale on Respect The Shoe Culture

The shoe game has changed a lot since I first fell in love with it in 2009, everything is meant to progress but is the shoe game going in the right direction?

I feel like if you've been heavy in the shoe game for years now this interview with Wale is a must watch, he basically gives his insight on the state of the shoe game at that time. Even though the video is older he has alot of good points, one thing that will always stick with me is when he said do the makers of the shoes "Respect The Culture".

When I heard him say that it changed the game for me, even made me come up with my first desgin for my clothing brand "The Vizion". I know it's ceratin things we all wish we could change about the shoe game.

What do you feel is missing from the shoe game the most?

I feel like the individuality is missing. What once was something so diverse has become a cool kids/hype contest.

Also people don’t seem to be interested in history. We I came up we wanted to know as much as possible about the designers, sneakers, brands etc.
